Article 728 of the French Code of civil procedure

The clerk of the bench shall keep a register in which shall be entered, for each hearing:

the date of the hearing;

the names of the judges and the court clerk;

the names of the parties and the nature of the case;

the indication of the parties who appear themselves in matters where representation is not compulsory;

the names of the persons who represent or assist the parties at the hearing.

The court clerk also mentions whether or not the hearing is public, any incidents at the hearing and the decisions taken on these incidents.

The judgments handed down are entered in the register which is signed, after each hearing, by the president and the court clerk.

Le greffier de la formation de jugement tient un registre où sont portés, pour chaque audience :

-la date de l’audience ;

-le nom des juges et du greffier ;

-le nom des parties et la nature de l’affaire ;

-l’indication des parties qui comparaissent elles-mêmes dans les matières où la représentation n’est pas obligatoire ;

-le nom des personnes qui représentent ou assistent les parties à l’audience.

Le greffier y mentionne également le caractère public ou non de l’audience, les incidents d’audience et les décisions prises sur ces incidents.

L’indication des jugements prononcés est portée sur le registre qui est signé, après chaque audience, par le président et le greffier.
