Article 762-4 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The sentence enforcement judge in whose jurisdiction the sentenced person has declared that he or she will take up residence will ensure that the assistance measures are implemented and that the supervision measures provided for in the sentencing decision are complied with.

At any time during the period of the ban on residence, the sentence enforcement judge may, after hearing the convicted offender and advising the public prosecutor, amend the list of prohibited places and the supervision and assistance measures under the conditions set out in Article 712-8.

Le juge de l’application des peines dans le ressort duquel le condamné a déclaré fixer sa résidence assure la mise en oeuvre des mesures d’assistance et veille au respect des mesures de surveillance prévues par la décision de condamnation.

A tout moment de la durée de l’interdiction de séjour, le juge de l’application des peines peut, après audition du condamné et avis du procureur de la République, modifier la liste des lieux interdits et les mesures de surveillance et d’assistance dans les conditions prévues à l’article 712-8.
