When a person sentenced to socio-judicial supervision including a treatment order must carry out this measure following a custodial sentence, the sentence enforcement judge may order the person concerned to undergo a medical examination before being released. This assessment is mandatory if the conviction was handed down more than two years previously.
The sentence enforcement judge may also, at any time during the socio-judicial supervision period and without prejudice to the provisions of article 763-6, order, of its own motion or at the request of the public prosecutor, the expert reports necessary to inform it about the medical or psychological state of the convicted person.
The expert appraisals provided for in this article shall be carried out by a single expert, unless the sentence enforcement judge decides otherwise for good reason.
