Article 821 of the French Code of civil procedure

The judge may delegate the preliminary conciliation attempt to a court conciliator.

The court clerk notifies the defendant of the judge’s decision by any means. The notice shall specify the surname, first names, profession and address of the claimant and the subject of the claim.

Le juge peut déléguer à un conciliateur de justice la tentative préalable de conciliation.


Le greffier avise par tous moyens le défendeur de la décision du juge. L’avis précise les nom, prénoms, profession et adresse du demandeur et l’objet de la demande.
