Article 823 of the French Code of civil procedure

The notices sent to the parties by the court clerk specify that each party may appear before the conciliator with a person who is entitled to assist him before the judge.

The parties are further advised that, pursuant to articles 824 and 826, the provisions of which are reproduced, the court may be seised for the purposes of homologation of their agreement or for the purposes of judgment if conciliation fails.

Les avis adressés aux parties par le greffier précisent que chaque partie peut se présenter devant le conciliateur avec une personne ayant qualité pour l’assister devant le juge.


Les parties sont en outre avisées qu’en application des articles 824 et 826, dont les dispositions sont reproduites, la juridiction peut être saisie aux fins d’homologation de leur accord ou aux fins de jugement en cas d’échec de la conciliation.
