For the application of Article 244, and subject to the application of the provisions of article 247, the assize court may also be presided over by the president of the court of first instance or by the most senior judge in the highest grade of that court.

Pour l’application de l’article 244, et sous réserve de l’application des dispositions de l’article 247, la cour d’assises peut également être présidée par le président du tribunal de première instance ou par le magistrat du siège le plus ancien dans le grade le plus élevé de ce tribunal.
