Article 914-4 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

For the application of articles 914-2 and 914-3, box office takings between 22 June 2020 and 1 September 2020 are taken into account. However, for cinematographic works that have benefited from the provisions of article 17 of law no. 2020-290 of 23 March 2020 on the emergency response to the covid-19 epidemic and for cinematographic works that have been commercially screened for the first time before 4 March 2020, in addition to the takings achieved between 22 June 2020 and 1 September 2020, takings achieved before 14 March 2020 are taken into account.

Pour l’application des articles 914-2 et 914-3, est prise en compte la recette réalisée en salle entre le 22 juin 2020 et le 1er septembre 2020. Toutefois, pour les œuvres cinématographiques qui ont bénéficié du dispositif prévu par l’article 17 de la loi n° 2020-290 du 23 mars 2020 d’urgence pour faire face à l’épidémie de covid-19 et pour les œuvres cinématographiques qui ont fait l’objet d’une première représentation commerciale avant le 4 mars 2020, outre la recette réalisée entre le 22 juin 2020 et le 1er septembre 2020, est prise en compte la recette réalisée avant le 14 mars 2020.
