Attending officers may also receive immediate payment of the fixed fine or the deposit provided for in article L. 121-4 of the Highway Code, when the official report is drawn up using a secure electronic device whose characteristics are defined by article A. 37-19; the procedures for drawing up these minutes are set out in article A. 37-27-2.
To collect the fine or deposit, a standard collection counterfoil receipt book shall be used, in accordance with the provisions of Article A. 37-22, comprising ten sets of five sheets, each set bearing a unique number; the specific characteristics of this notebook, which differ in part from those of the notebooks provided for under the provisions of subsection 1 of this section, are laid down by Article A. 37-27-3.
This counterfoil booklet can also be used to receive the deposit provided for in Article L. 121-4 of the Highway Code for offences or non-binding fines, when the official report is not drawn up using the secure electronic device.
