Accreditation may only be granted to victim support associations that meet all of the following criteria, as set out in a national reference guide for accredited victim support associations:
1° Multi-disciplinary and forward-looking approach to the care of victims of crime;

2° Accessibility of reception facilities to all sections of the public;
3° Continuity of service provision;
4° Free and sustainable provision of care;
5° Neutrality and confidentiality of care;
6° Professionalisation of the staff involved;
> 7° Involvement in local initiatives
7° Involvement in local victim support initiatives;
The procedures for assessing the criteria are set out in an order of the Minister of Justice setting out the national standards for approved associations providing assistance to victims of crime.
