Article D1123-28 of the French Public Health Code

The National Commission for Research Involving the Human Person comprises twenty-two members appointed by order of the Minister for Health, including :

1° Eight persons appointed from among the members of the committees for the protection of individuals following a call for candidates ;

2° Fourteen persons qualified in research involving the human person, including :

a) Two representatives of the Ministry of Health;

b) One representative of the Ministry of Research;

c) One representative of the French National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products;

d) One representative of the ethical and scientific committee for research, studies and assessments in the health field;

e) Two representatives of associations approved in accordance with the provisions of article L. 1114-1.

The Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the National Commission for Research Involving the Human Person are appointed by order of the Minister for Health from among the persons mentioned in 2°.

La commission nationale des recherches impliquant la personne humaine comprend vingt-deux membres nommés par arrêté du ministre chargé de la santé, parmi lesquels :

1° Huit personnes désignées parmi les membres des comités de protection des personnes après appel à candidature ;

2° Quatorze personnes qualifiées en matière de recherche impliquant la personne humaine dont :

a) Deux représentants du ministère chargé de la santé ;

b) Un représentant du ministère chargé de la recherche ;

c) Un représentant de l’Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé ;

d) Un représentant du comité éthique et scientifique pour les recherches, les études et les évaluations dans le domaine de la santé ;

e) Deux représentants des associations agréées conformément aux dispositions de l’article L. 1114-1.

Le président et le vice-président de la commission nationale des recherches impliquant la personne humaine sont désignés par arrêté du ministre chargé de la santé parmi les personnes mentionnées au 2°.
