Article D1222-1 of the French Labour Code

The period of one year during which the employer may not invoke the exclusivity clause provided for in article L. 1222-5 runs from:
1° Either the employee’s registration in the Trade and Companies Register or the Trades Register;
2° Or the employee’s declaration of commencement of agricultural or self-employed professional activity.
