Article D1411-31 of the French Public Health Code

The Interministerial Health Committee is chaired by the Prime Minister or, by delegation, by the Minister for Health. It is made up of all the ministers and the Secretary of State for the Budget. Depending on the issues on the agenda, other members of the Government may be invited to attend.

The committee meets at least once a year. Its secretariat is provided by the General Secretariat of the Government.

When necessary, the Committee may hear the Chairman of the National Health Conference, the Chairman of the High Council for the Future of Health Insurance and the Chairman of the High Council for Public Health.

Le comité interministériel pour la santé est présidé par le Premier ministre ou, par délégation de celui-ci, par le ministre chargé de la santé. Il est composé de l’ensemble des ministres et du secrétaire d’Etat chargé du budget. Selon les questions inscrites à l’ordre du jour, les autres membres du Gouvernement peuvent être appelés à y siéger.

Le comité se réunit au moins une fois par an. Son secrétariat est assuré par le secrétariat général du gouvernement.

Le comité peut entendre en tant que de besoin notamment le président de la Conférence nationale de santé, le président du Haut Conseil pour l’avenir de l’assurance maladie et le président du Haut Conseil de la santé publique.
