The Standing Conference on Women’s Sport may be consulted at the request of the Minister responsible for Sport, the Minister responsible for Women’s Rights, the Minister responsible for the Economy or the Minister responsible for Communication, or may be consulted on any draft law or draft regulatory text relating to the organisation of sport in France, as well as on any draft European Union act or international convention relating to the practice of sport.
The Standing Conference on Women’s Sport includes in its work programme topics for observation and study relating to the role of women in sport.
It puts forward any recommendations aimed at contributing to the structuring of women’s professional sport, better media coverage of women’s sporting events and equal access for women to sporting activities, their management, governance and management functions.
It promotes the exchange and sharing of information between the players involved. It may make recommendations to all those involved in sport.
Each year, it submits an activity report to the Government, outlining the body’s contribution and that of the various players involved in sport. In particular, this report provides an overview of the changing role of women in sport in order to contribute to a better understanding of women’s sporting activities.
