Article D1424-32-5 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The minimum rate of subsidy may not be less than 20% of the estimated amount of subsidisable expenditure excluding tax. The maximum rate of grant may not exceed 60% of this amount, or of the final amount of the operation in the case provided for in the second paragraph of I of Article D. 1424-32-10.

However, in the case of an operation presented by a fire and rescue service and of zonal or interdepartmental interest, or an operation intended to make up for a major equipment backlog, the upper limit may be raised to 70%.

The investment aid fund may not have the effect of increasing the amount of direct public aid above the ceiling provided for in III of Article 10 of Decree no. 2018-514 of 25 June 2018 relating to State subsidies for investment projects.

Le taux minimum de subvention ne peut être inférieur à 20 % du montant prévisionnel hors taxe de la dépense subventionnable. Le taux maximum de subvention ne peut être supérieur à 60 % de ce montant, ou du montant définitif de l’opération dans le cas prévu au deuxième alinéa du I de l’article D. 1424-32-10.

Toutefois, dans le cas d’une opération présentée par un service d’incendie et de secours et revêtant un intérêt zonal ou interdépartemental, ou d’une opération destinée à rattraper un retard important en équipement, la limite supérieure peut être portée à 70 %.

Le fonds d’aide à l’investissement ne peut avoir pour effet de porter le montant des aides publiques directes au-delà du plafond prévu au III de l’article 10 du décret n° 2018-514 du 25 juin 2018 relatif aux subventions de l’Etat pour des projets d’investissement.
