Permission to go out for a period not exceeding one day may be granted in the following cases to persons sentenced to one or more custodial sentences for a total period not exceeding five years and to persons sentenced to one or more custodial sentences for a total period exceeding five years when they have served half of their sentence:
1° Presentation of detainees soon to be released or likely to be eligible for parole or release under constraint or for semi-liberty or home detention under electronic surveillance or on the outside pursuant to Article D. 136, to their prospective employer or to a vocational training, work placement or education structure;
2° Submission to an examination under the conditions set out in articles D. 436-3 and D. 438-2;
3° Presentation to a care structure;
4° Outings to take part in organised cultural or sporting activities;
5° Exercise by the convicted offender of his right to vote.
