Article D214-4 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The authorisation to disseminate culture through cinema provided for in 2° of article L. 214-1 is granted to a federation for all the associations and similar bodies affiliated to it, known as “ciné-clubs”.
The articles of association or internal regulations of each federation determine the conditions of affiliation of film clubs as well as the conditions under which they obtain the cinematographic works they programme from the federation to which they are affiliated.

L’habilitation à diffuser la culture par le cinéma prévue au 2° de l’article L. 214-1 est accordée à une fédération pour l’ensemble des associations et organismes assimilés qui y sont affiliés, dénommés ” ciné-clubs “.
Les statuts ou le règlement intérieur de chaque fédération déterminent les conditions d’affiliation des ciné-clubs ainsi que les conditions dans lesquelles ceux-ci se procurent auprès de la fédération à laquelle ils sont affiliés les œuvres cinématographiques qu’ils programment.
