Article D231-2 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

A derogation to the minimum four-month period set out in the first paragraph of article L. 231-1 is granted when, at the end of the fourth cinema week within the meaning of 5° of article D. 212-67, the number of admissions for the film is less than or equal to 100,000.

Une dérogation au délai minimum de quatre mois fixé au premier alinéa de l’article L. 231-1 est accordée lorsque l’œuvre cinématographique a réalisé, à l’issue de la quatrième semaine cinématographique au sens du 5° de l’article D. 212-67, un nombre d’entrées inférieur ou égal à 100 000.
