Article D232-1 of the French Sports Code

A doping prevention medical unit is any structure set up by a health establishment to provide specialised consultations and doping prevention activities for athletes.

This structure is part of a sports medicine department.

In the absence of such a department, it may be set up within another department of a health establishment.

In addition, and in particular in order to optimise its territorial location, this structure may call on :

– a sports medicine department in another establishment ;

– a structure determined by its organisational and operational project.

Constitue une antenne médicale de prévention du dopage toute structure mise en place par un établissement de santé afin de mettre en œuvre des consultations spécialisées et des actions de prévention en matière de dopage à destination des sportifs.

Cette structure est constituée au sein d’un service de médecine du sport.

A défaut d’un tel service, elle peut être constituée au sein d’un autre service d’un établissement de santé.

En complément, notamment afin d’optimiser son implantation territoriale, cette structure peut faire appel à :

– un service de médecine du sport d’un autre établissement ;

– une structure déterminée par son projet d’organisation et de fonctionnement.
