Article D232-2 of the French Sports Code

The doping prevention medical units must, under the coordination of the Minister responsible for Sport:

1° Set up a system of specialised consultations open to athletes who use doping substances or methods or who are likely to use them;

2° Offer, where appropriate, medical or medico-psychological follow-up to the athletes mentioned in 1°;

3° Set up doping prevention actions aimed at athletes in accordance with the guidelines given by the head of the regional State department responsible for sport. When they are aimed at the target audiences mentioned inarticle R. 232-41-12-1 and deal with the themes mentioned inarticle R. 232-41-12-2, these actions comply with the education programme mentioned in 12° of the I ofarticle L. 232-5;

4° Provide methodological assistance to those responsible for prevention actions, particularly those that have received financial support from the State.

They may also be entrusted with a specific activity relating to the prevention of doping for the benefit of all the antennas. This is stipulated in the branch’s approval order.

Article D232-2

Les antennes médicales de prévention du dopage doivent, sous la coordination du ministre chargé des sports :

1° Mettre en place un dispositif de consultations spécialisées ouvert aux sportifs qui utilisent des substances ou méthodes dopantes ou qui sont susceptibles d’en faire usage ;

2° Proposer, le cas échéant, un suivi médical ou médico-psychologique aux sportifs mentionnés au 1° ;

3° Mettre en place des actions de prévention du dopage à destination des sportifs conformément aux orientations données par le chef du service régional de l’Etat chargé des sports. Lorsqu’elles visent les publics cibles mentionnés à l’article R. 232-41-12-1 et portent sur les thématiques mentionnées à l’article R. 232-41-12-2, ces actions sont conformes au programme d’éducation mentionné au 12° du I de l’article L. 232-5 ;

4° Apporter une aide méthodologique aux porteurs d’actions de prévention, notamment celles ayant reçu un concours financier de l’Etat.

Elles peuvent également se voir confier l’exercice d’une activité spécifique relative à la prévention du dopage au bénéfice de l’ensemble des antennes. Celle-ci est prévue par l’arrêté d’agrément de l’antenne.
