Article D3141-9 of the French Labour Code

An employer who is a member of a paid leave fund, in application of article L. 3141-32, shall issue the employee, in the event of termination of the employment contract, with a certificate justifying his entitlement to leave, taking into account the length of his service.

L’employeur qui adhère à une caisse de congés payés, par application de l’article L. 3141-32, délivre au salarié, en cas de rupture du contrat de travail, un certificat justificatif de ses droits à congé compte tenu de la durée de ses services.
