Article D3142-1-3 of the French Labour Code

The period of leave provided for in 3° bis of article L. 3142-1 begins to run, at the employee’s choice, either during the seven-day period preceding the child’s arrival at home, or on the day the child arrives at home or on the first working day following this arrival.

La période de congé prévue au 3° bis de l’article L. 3142-1 commence à courir, au choix du salarié, soit pendant la période de sept jours précédant l’arrivée de l’enfant au foyer, soit le jour de l’arrivée de l’enfant au foyer ou le premier jour ouvrable qui suit cette arrivée.
