Article D4151-10 of the French Public Health Code

The appointment of directors of midwifery schools not covered by Title IV of the General Statute for Civil Servants is subject to their approval by the Director General of the Regional Health Agency. In each school, a doctor, who is the technical director of teaching, is appointed by order of the director general of the regional health agency and the rector of the academic region.

La nomination des directeurs des écoles de sages-femmes ne relevant pas du titre IV du statut général des fonctionnaires est subordonné à leur agrément par le directeur général de l’agence régionale de santé. Dans chaque école un médecin, directeur technique des enseignements, est nommé par arrêté du directeur général de l’agence régionale de santé et du recteur de région académique.
