Article D4381-1 of the French Public Health Code

Reporting to the Minister for Health, the High Council for the Paramedical Professions is responsible for :

1° To promote inter-professional debate on :

a) The conditions under which the paramedical professions are practised, the development of their professions, cooperation between health professionals and the distribution of their competencies;

b) Training and qualifications;

c) the place of the paramedical professions in the health system;

2° Participating, in coordination with the Haute Autorité de santé, in the dissemination of recommendations for good practice and the promotion of the evaluation of practices in the paramedical professions;

In carrying out its missions, the Haut Conseil des professions paramédicales will take account of studies and discussions at European and international level.

Auprès du ministre chargé de la santé, le Haut Conseil des professions paramédicales a pour missions :

1° De promouvoir une réflexion interprofessionnelle sur :

a) Les conditions d’exercice des professions paramédicales, l’évolution de leurs métiers, la coopération entre les professionnels de santé et la répartition de leurs compétences ;

b) La formation et les diplômes ;

c) la place des professions paramédicales dans le système de santé ;

2° De participer, en coordination avec la Haute Autorité de santé, à la diffusion des recommandations de bonne pratique et à la promotion de l’évaluation des pratiques des professions paramédicales ;

Dans la conduite de ses missions, le Haut Conseil des professions paramédicales prend en compte les études et réflexions menées au niveau européen et international.
