Article D576 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Within each court, the sentence enforcement judge, the public prosecutor and the other instructing magistrates determine the general guidelines for the execution of measures entrusted to the prison integration and probation service, as well as those relating to the execution of custodial sentences, and then evaluate their implementation.

The heads of jurisdiction organise consultation between the magistrates concerned.

Au sein de chaque juridiction, le juge de l’application des peines, le procureur de la République et les autres magistrats mandants déterminent les orientations générales relatives à l’exécution des mesures confiées au service pénitentiaire d’insertion et de probation ainsi que celles relatives à l’exécution des peines privatives de liberté, et évaluent ensuite leur mise en œuvre.


Les chefs de juridiction organisent la concertation entre les magistrats concernés.
