Article D6124-121 of the French Public Health Code

Full-time inpatient cardiac surgery units have a sufficient number of dedicated beds to be able to care for cardiac surgery patients at all times.

Protocols are agreed between the medical managers of the cardiac surgery units and the intensive care units on the provision of an adequate number of intensive care beds and on the procedures for managing cardiac surgery patients.

Les unités d’hospitalisation à temps complet de chirurgie cardiaque comportent un nombre de lits dédiés suffisant pour être en mesure de prendre en charge à tout moment les patients de chirurgie cardiaque.

Des protocoles sont conclus entre les responsables médicaux des unités de chirurgie cardiaque et des unités de réanimation sur la mise à disposition de lits de réanimation en nombre suffisant et sur les modalités de prise en charge des patients de chirurgie cardiaque.
