I.-The therapeutic plan envisaged for each cancer patient undergoing treatment, as well as any significant changes in therapeutic orientation, including the discontinuation of cancer treatment, are the subject of a collegial discussion in a multidisciplinary consultation meeting.
As an exception to the previous paragraph, in the case of a situation that strictly complies with the national best practice guidelines mentioned in article R. 6123-91-9, the collegial discussion may be replaced by a recording.
In clinical situations requiring emergency treatment to be administered to children or adolescents, the discussion at the inter-regional paediatric oncology multidisciplinary consultation meeting takes place after the treatment has been administered.
II – All members of the medical team providing cancer treatment for patients treated by the authorisation holder regularly take part in multidisciplinary consultation meetings.
III – Multidisciplinary consultation involves, where appropriate, the participation of a doctor from the team of an authorisation holder for neurosurgery or nuclear medicine with a B mention mentioned in 2 of article R. 6123-135 or interventional radiology with a C mention mentioned in 3° of article R. 6123-166 either in the form of participation in a multidisciplinary consultation meeting or by obtaining additional advice.
IV – The authorisation holder ensures that a record of the opinion and therapeutic proposal resulting from the multidisciplinary consultation meeting is attached to the patient’s medical file.
