Continuity of care is ensured in the burns treatment facility by at least one doctor who is a member of the medical team meeting the conditions mentioned in 1° of I and II of article D. 6124-155.
However, the permanence and continuity of care may be ensured, outside of the daytime service, by an intensive care anaesthetist or an intensive care doctor from the establishment who does not belong to the team mentioned in article D. 6124-155 or, where applicable, by a medical intern under conditions set by order of the Minister for Health. A doctor who is a member of the medical team referred to in 1° of I and II of article D. 6124-155 is on call for operational purposes, under conditions defined by order of the Minister for Health.
If the burns treatment facility is in the immediate vicinity of the establishment’s intensive care unit, the duty and continuity of care may be shared with the intensive care unit outside the day service.
In all cases, a doctor who is a member of the medical team and meets the conditions mentioned in 2° of I and II of article D. 6124-155 is on call.
