The health establishment authorised to carry out organ transplant activities has the following facilities on site :
– the means to ensure extracorporeal blood circulation, long-term mechanical circulatory assistance for heart or lung transplants and intraoperative autotransfusion for liver, heart or lung transplants ;
– the means to ensure, by agreement with the site’s nephrology department, round-the-clock extrarenal purification every day of the year for renal transplants.
The health care organisation must be able to carry out or arrange for bacteriology, haematology, biochemistry and histocompatibility tests to be carried out around the clock, within a timeframe compatible with safety requirements.
The health care organisation must be able to carry out or have carried out within a timeframe compatible with the patient’s condition :
– magnetic resonance imaging, scan, ultrasound and digital angiography ;
– virology, parasitology and mycology examinations;
– anatomopathology examinations
– immunology tests;
– blood tests for the dosage of medicines.
The health facility has labile blood products available 24 hours a day, every day of the year. These products are delivered within a timeframe that is compatible with a life-threatening emergency.
