I.-The medical staff required for the activity includes at least one doctor specialising in radiology and medical imaging, present on site while the patient is being treated.
For activities falling under categories B, C and D as provided for in Article R. 6123-166, at least one doctor specialising in radiology and medical imaging is competent in advanced interventional radiology or has experience in the practice of advanced interventional radiology procedures.
II -The non-medical staff required for interventional radiology activities must include at least two medical assistants, at least one of whom must be a medical electroradiology technician present on site while the patient is being treated.
III – Where the authorisation holder treats children, the team must have experience in paediatric treatment.
IV -The authorisation holder must enlist the help of a medical physicist as part of the process of optimising exposure to ionising radiation.
