In addition to the premises mentioned in article D. 6124-257, hospital units include:
1° One or more calming areas, adapted to the nature of the patient’s care and the therapeutic project implemented, allowing exchanges with the psychiatrist or another professional away from other patients;
2° One or more individual isolation rooms. Each isolation room has natural light, ventilation, an accessible call device, sanitary facilities that respect the patient’s privacy and dignity, a water point, a clock showing the date and time and furniture suited to the patient’s clinical condition;
3° A reception area for the patient’s family and friends, allowing visits in privacy and respecting the confidentiality of exchanges, in particular appointments with lawyers;
4° A secure outdoor area.
The authorisation holder shall ensure that the layout of the premises allows patients to move freely between the different care areas of the unit mentioned in article D. 6124-257 and in this article.
