In addition to the beds and places used for gynaecology, any newly created obstetrics unit includes a minimum of fifteen beds. In the event of its creation, any independent specialised obstetrics establishment must have a minimum of twenty-five obstetrics beds on the same site.

Outre les lits et places servant à la gynécologie, toute unité d’obstétrique nouvellement créée comprend un minimum de quinze lits. En cas de création, tout établissement spécialisé autonome d’obstétrique dispose au minimum de vingt-cinq lits d’obstétrique sur le même site.
