The patient’s home or place of residence is suitable for the practice of peritoneal dialysis in sufficient conditions of safety and comfort.

When the patient’s condition requires the assistance of a third party who cannot be found in the patient’s usual environment, a nurse is called in. The patient and the third party are trained in peritoneal dialysis.

Patients are trained in the technique of peritoneal dialysis, under the supervision of a nephrologist, by nurses or by nurses with experience of peritoneal dialysis.

The healthcare establishment referred to in article R. 6123-67 installs the equipment required for automated peritoneal dialysis in the home of the patient it cares for. It also provides the medicines, objects and products directly linked to the performance of peritoneal dialysis.

Le domicile ou le lieu où réside le patient est adapté à la pratique de la dialyse péritonéale dans des conditions suffisantes de sécurité et de confort.

Lorsque l’état du patient requiert l’aide d’une tierce personne qui ne peut être trouvée dans l’entourage habituel du patient, il est fait appel à un infirmier ou à une infirmière. Le patient et la tierce personne sont formés à la dialyse péritonéale.

La formation des patients à la technique de dialyse péritonéale est donnée, sous le contrôle d’un médecin néphrologue, par des infirmiers ou infirmières ou par des infirmières ayant une pratique de la dialyse péritonéale.

L’établissement de santé mentionné à l’article R. 6123-67, installe, au domicile du patient qu’il prend en charge, l’équipement nécessaire en cas de pratique de la dialyse péritonéale automatisée. Il fournit également les médicaments, les objets et produits directement liés à la réalisation de la dialyse péritonéale.
