Article D6431-61 of the French Public Health Code

The poison control centre is involved in toxicovigilance. To this end:

1° It monitors the development of intoxications that have occurred in the territory and collects all useful data on the subject;

2° It has the task of alerting the senior administrator, the representative of the State and executive of the territory;

3° Notwithstanding the missions of expertise that may be entrusted to it within the framework of a judicial investigation, it shall carry out for the benefit of the Senior Administrator the missions of its competence that the latter entrusts to it.

Le centre antipoison participe à la toxicovigilance. A ce titre :

1° Il suit l’évolution des intoxications qui se sont produites sur le territoire et recueille à leur sujet toutes les données utiles ;

2° Il a une mission d’alerte de l’administrateur supérieur, représentant de l’Etat et exécutif du territoire ;

3° Nonobstant les missions d’expertise qui peuvent lui être confiées dans le cadre d’une enquête judiciaire, il remplit au profit de l’administrateur supérieur les missions de sa compétence que celui-ci lui confie.
