Article D70 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Finally sentenced persons are received in the prisons mentioned in article R. 112-15 of the Penitentiary Code or in the quarters of the penitentiary centres mentioned in article R. 112-16 of the same code and corresponding to these establishments.

In exceptional circumstances, prisons may hold convicted prisoners under the conditions determined by the provisions of article L. 211-3 of the same code.

Les personnes définitivement condamnées sont reçues dans les établissements pour peines mentionnés à l’article R. 112-15 du code pénitentiaire ou dans les quartiers des centres pénitentiaires mentionnés à l’article R. 112-16 du même code et correspondant à ces établissements.


A titre exceptionnel, les maisons d’arrêt peuvent recevoir des personnes condamnées dans les conditions déterminées par les dispositions de l’article L. 211-3 du même code.
