Article D8113-2 of the French Labour Code

When a decree, issued in application of article L. 8113-6, after consultation with representative employers’ and employees’ organisations, provides that the employer may use an alternative medium for the keeping of certain registers, this medium shall be designed and kept in such a way as to ensure that all mandatory information is available without difficulty of use or understanding and without risk of alteration.
It is presented under the same conditions and kept for the same period as the register it replaces.

Lorsque un décret, pris en application de l’article L. 8113-6, après consultation des organisations représentatives d’employeurs et de salariés, prévoit que l’employeur peut recourir à un support de substitution pour la tenue de certains registres, ce support est conçu et tenu de façon à obtenir, sans difficulté d’utilisation et de compréhension et sans risque d’altération, toutes les mentions obligatoires.
Il est présenté dans les mêmes conditions et conservé pendant le même délai que le registre auquel il se substitue.
