Article L111-1 of the French Sports Code

I.-The State is responsible for or supervises, in liaison with all interested parties, the organisation of training leading to the various professions in physical activities and sport and the awarding of the corresponding diplomas.

It contributes to the training of sports managers specialising in physical and sports activities for disabled people.

II – The State supervises sports federations in accordance with article L. 131-1.

It ensures that sports federations comply with the laws and regulations in force.

III -It may enter into agreements with local authorities relating to specific assistance in the field of physical and sporting activities, under the conditions defined in article 7 of law no. 92-125 of 6 February 1992 relating to the territorial administration of the Republic.

Article L111-1

I.-L’Etat assure ou contrôle, en liaison avec toutes les parties intéressées, l’organisation des formations conduisant aux différentes professions des activités physiques et sportives et la délivrance des diplômes correspondants.

Il concourt à la formation des cadres sportifs spécialisés dans l’encadrement des activités physiques et sportives des personnes handicapées.

II.-L’Etat exerce le contrôle des fédérations sportives, dans le respect de l’article L. 131-1.

Il veille au respect des lois et règlements en vigueur par les fédérations sportives.

III.-Il peut conclure avec les collectivités territoriales des conventions portant sur des concours particuliers dans le domaine des activités physiques et sportives, dans les conditions définies à l’article 7 de la loi n° 92-125 du 6 février 1992 relative à l’administration territoriale de la République.
