Article L1114-2 of the French Public Health Code

When public prosecution has been initiated by the public prosecutor or the injured party, and subject to the victim’s agreement, associations approved at national level under the conditions set out in article L. 1114-1 may exercise the rights granted to civil parties in respect of the offences set out in articles 221-6, 222-19 and 222-20 of the French Criminal Code as well as the offences set out in the provisions of this Code, which are prejudicial to the collective interests of users of the healthcare system.

Lorsque l’action publique a été mise en mouvement par le ministère public ou la partie lésée, et sous réserve de l’accord de la victime, les associations agréées au niveau national dans les conditions prévues à l’article L. 1114-1 peuvent exercer les droits reconnus à la partie civile en ce qui concerne les infractions prévues par les articles 221-6,222-19 et 222-20 du code pénal ainsi que les infractions prévues par des dispositions du présent code, portant un préjudice à l’intérêt collectif des usagers du système de santé.
