The privileges mentioned in the previous article relate to the aircraft or to the insurance indemnity mentioned in article L. 122-6. They follow the aircraft in whichever hand it passes.
They are extinguished three months after the event which gave rise to them, unless the creditor has previously entered his claim in the aircraft’s registration register, after having had the amount recognised by amicable agreement or, failing that, having taken legal action in respect of it.
They are also extinguished independently of the normal methods of extinguishing liens:
1° By the judicial sale of the aircraft, carried out in the manner prescribed by decree;
2° In the event of a voluntary transfer duly entered in the registration register, at the latest two months after publication of the transfer in the Official Bulletin of the Trade Register, as well as in a medium authorised to receive legal notices at the seller’s domicile, unless, before the expiry of this period, the creditor has notified his claim to the purchaser at the domicile elected by him in the publications.
