Article L1221-10 of the French Labour Code

An employee may only be recruited after the employer has made a declaration of the employee’s name to the social security bodies designated for this purpose.

The employer must complete this declaration at all workplaces where employees are employed.

L’embauche d’un salarié ne peut intervenir qu’après déclaration nominative accomplie par l’employeur auprès des organismes de protection sociale désignés à cet effet.

L’employeur accomplit cette déclaration dans tous les lieux de travail où sont employés des salariés.
