Without prejudice to the application of the provisions of article 3 bis of law no. 47-1775 of 10 September 1947 on the status of cooperation, any retail trader duly established on the territory of a foreign State may be a member of traders’ cooperatives. The same applies to cooperative societies governed by this chapter, as well as to undertakings registered both in the national register of undertakings as undertakings in the trades and crafts sector and in the trade and companies register. Cooperatives governed by this chapter may admit as members natural or legal persons interested in their activity and competent to know about it.
Cooperative societies of retail traders which carry on the activities referred to in 2° of article L. 124-1 may, in addition, admit as members any person referred to in Article L. 125-1.
Retail traders whose cooperative is affiliated to another retail traders’ cooperative may benefit directly from the services of the latter.
