Article L1242-15 of the French Labour Code

The remuneration, within the meaning of Article L. 3221-3, received by an employee holding a fixed-term employment contract may not be less than the remuneration that would be received in the same company, after the trial period, by an employee holding an open-ended employment contract with equivalent professional qualifications and performing the same duties.

La rémunération, au sens de l’article L. 3221-3, perçue par le salarié titulaire d’un contrat de travail à durée déterminée ne peut être inférieure au montant de la rémunération que percevrait dans la même entreprise, après période d’essai, un salarié bénéficiant d’un contrat de travail à durée indéterminée de qualification professionnelle équivalente et occupant les mêmes fonctions.
