Article L1271-3 of the French Public Health Code

Obtaining or attempting to obtain blood from a person in return for payment, in any form whatsoever, is punishable by five years’ imprisonment and a fine of 150,000 euros.

Providing or attempting to provide assistance in obtaining blood in return for payment, in any form whatsoever, is punishable by the same penalties.

Le fait d’obtenir ou de tenter d’obtenir d’une personne le prélèvement de son sang contre un paiement, quelle qu’en soit la forme, est puni de cinq ans d’emprisonnement et de 150 000 euros d’amende.

Est puni des mêmes peines le fait d’apporter ou de tenter d’apporter son entremise pour favoriser l’obtention du sang contre un paiement, quelle qu’en soit la forme.
