Article L129-1 of the French Insurance Code

Titles I and II of this Book also apply to group non-life insurance.

A group non-life insurance contract is a contract taken out by a legal entity with a view to the subscription of any person interested in benefiting from cover for risks other than those mentioned in the first paragraph of article L. 141-1.

For the purposes of the first paragraph of this article, the following definitions apply: “the member of the group non-life insurance contract” where “the insured” is mentioned and : “the contractual documents provided to the member” where “the policy” is mentioned.

This article does not apply to cover for professional risks.

Les titres Ier et II du présent livre s’appliquent également aux assurances collectives de dommages.

Un contrat d’assurance collective de dommages est un contrat souscrit par une personne morale en vue de l’adhésion de toute personne intéressée par le bénéfice des garanties pour la couverture des risques autres que ceux mentionnés au premier alinéa de l’article L. 141-1.

Pour l’application du premier alinéa du présent article, il y a lieu d’entendre : ” l’adhérent au contrat d’assurance collective de dommages ” là où est mentionné : ” l’assuré ” et : ” les documents contractuels remis à l’adhérent ” là où est mentionnée : ” la police “.


Le présent article n’est pas applicable à la couverture des risques professionnels.
