Article L131-15 of the French Sports Code

Delegated federations :

1° Organise sporting competitions leading to the award of international, national, regional or departmental titles;

2° Make the corresponding selections;

3° Propose a federal performance project consisting of a programme of sporting excellence, a programme of access to top level sport including measures to encourage the detection, including outside national territory, of athletes likely to be included on the lists mentioned in 4° and a programme of support for the professional retraining of top level athletes;

4° Propose inclusion on the list of top-level sportsmen and women, coaches, referees and judges, on the list of “Espoirs” sportsmen and women and on the list of national team sportsmen and women.

Les fédérations délégataires :

1° Organisent les compétitions sportives à l’issue desquelles sont délivrés les titres internationaux, nationaux, régionaux ou départementaux ;

2° Procèdent aux sélections correspondantes ;

3° Proposent un projet de performance fédéral constitué d’un programme d’excellence sportive, d’un programme d’accession au haut niveau comprenant notamment des mesures visant à favoriser la détection, y compris en dehors du territoire national, des sportifs susceptibles d’être inscrits sur les listes mentionnées au 4° et d’un programme d’accompagnement à la reconversion professionnelle des sportifs de haut niveau ;

4° Proposent l’inscription sur la liste des sportifs, entraîneurs, arbitres et juges sportifs de haut niveau, sur la liste des sportifs Espoirs et sur la liste des sportifs des collectifs nationaux.
