The price of goods quoted on the stock exchange is recorded by the sworn goods brokers of the corresponding professional speciality operating on this market.
In the event that these brokers do not sufficiently represent all the professional specialities and commercial operations that are practised on this market, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, after consulting the National Council of Sworn Commodity Brokers, may decide each year that a certain number of non-sworn brokers and traders on the market will work together with the sworn commodity brokers, and under the responsibility of the latter, to ascertain the price of the goods.
Sworn commodity brokers are also authorised to ascertain the prices of agricultural and fishery commodities and products sold at wholesale auctions in the places where they are shipped or sold wholesale.
