Article L1333-18 of the French Public Health Code

Without prejudice to the provisions taken in application of article L. 4111-6 of the Labour Code andarticle 60 bis of the Customs Code, or to the provisions laid down in the articles of this chapter, ionising radiation may only be used on the human body for the purposes of medical diagnosis, therapeutic management, screening, prevention or biomedical research carried out under the conditions defined in Title II of Book I of this Part.

Sans préjudice des dispositions prises en application de l’article L. 4111-6 du code du travail et de l’article 60 bis du code des douanes, ni des dispositions prévues aux articles du présent chapitre, les rayonnements ionisants ne peuvent être utilisés sur le corps humain qu’à des fins de diagnostic médical, de prise en charge thérapeutique, de dépistage, de prévention ou de recherches biomédicales menées dans les conditions définies au titre II du livre Ier de la présente partie.
