Article L1334-2 of the French Public Health Code

When the existence of degraded coatings containing lead in concentrations above the thresholds defined by order of the ministers responsible for health and construction is noted, following either the detection of a case of lead poisoning, or the diagnosis prescribed pursuant to the last paragraph of article L. 1334-1, or the risk of exposure to lead report mentioned in article L. 1334-5, and that this existence is likely to be the cause of intoxication or to intoxicate a pregnant woman or a minor, the provisions of Title I of Book V of the Construction and Housing Code will be applied.

Article L1334-2

Lorsqu’il est constaté l’existence de revêtements dégradés contenant du plomb à des concentrations supérieures aux seuils définis par arrêté des ministres chargés de la santé et de la construction, à la suite soit du dépistage d’un cas de saturnisme, soit du diagnostic prescrit en application du dernier alinéa de l’article L. 1334-1, soit du constat de risque d’exposition au plomb mentionné à l’article L. 1334-5 et que cette existence est susceptible d’être à l’origine de l’intoxication ou d’intoxiquer une femme enceinte ou un mineur, il est fait application des dispositions du titre Ier du livre V du code de la construction et de l’habitation.
