Article L1336-1 of the French Public Health Code

Activities involving the broadcasting of sound at a high level, in any public place or place receiving the public, whether enclosed or open, shall be carried out in such a way as to protect the hearing of the public and the health of local residents.

The procedures for applying this article shall be laid down by decree in the Conseil d’Etat.

Les activités impliquant la diffusion de sons à un niveau sonore élevé, dans tout lieu public ou recevant du public, clos ou ouvert, sont exercées de façon à protéger l’audition du public et la santé des riverains.

Les modalités d’application du présent article sont fixées par décret en Conseil d’Etat.
