Article L141-1 of the French Consumer Code

In local authorities covered by article 73 of the Constitution and in the collectivities of Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Martin, Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon and the Wallis and Futuna Islands, in the event of an economic situation where the selling price paid by the producer of perishable agricultural products or products from short production cycles is abnormally low compared with the average price observed during the corresponding period of the previous marketing year, the observatory of prices, margins and incomes mentioned in Title I A of Book IX of the Commercial Code may propose to the State representative that the purchase price from the producer and the selling price to the consumer be displayed at the point of sale.

Article L141-1

Dans les collectivités relevant de l’article 73 de la Constitution et dans les collectivités de Saint-Barthélemy, de Saint-Martin, de Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon et des îles Wallis et Futuna, en cas de situation conjoncturelle où le prix de cession par leur producteur de produits agricoles périssables ou de produits issus de cycles courts de production est anormalement bas par rapport à la moyenne des prix observés lors de la période correspondante de la précédente campagne, l’observatoire des prix, des marges et des revenus mentionné au titre Ier A du livre IX du code de commerce peut proposer au représentant de l’Etat de rendre obligatoire l’affichage sur les lieux de vente du prix d’achat au producteur et du prix de vente au consommateur.
