The rules relating to the Corsican Tourism Agency are set out inarticle L. 4424-40 of the General Code of Territorial Authorities, which reads as follows:
“Art. L. 4424-40 of the General Code of Territorial Authorities.
The Corsican regional authority replaces the tourist offices and agency from 1st January 2003, unless the Assembly of Corsica decides otherwise.
The territorial collectivity of Corsica may also decide at any time, by deliberation of the Assembly of Corsica, to carry out the tasks entrusted to a tourist office or agency. This decision takes effect on 1st January of the following year.
When the Corsican regional authority takes over the tasks entrusted to a tourist office or agency in application of one of the two previous paragraphs, it carries them out under the conditions laid down in articles L. 1412-1 or L. 1412-2. It is substituted for the tourist office or agency in all its rights and obligations. This substitution may not result in the payment of any fees, duties or taxes. Contracts are executed by the Corsican Regional Authority under the previous conditions until they expire, unless the parties agree otherwise. The substitution of a legal entity does not entail any right to termination or compensation for the co-contractor of the tourist office or agency.
The staff of the Tourist Office or Agency in service on the date of the substitution shall retain, on an individual basis, the benefit of the stipulations of their previous contract as well as their pension scheme and, where applicable, supplementary pension scheme.
The offices and the agency are dissolved once their accounts have been finally settled. “
